Work from home was an exception before the outbreak of COVID-19, but post the outbreak it has become a new norm. From March the influence of COVID-19 is rising and companies are forcing employees to work remotely to minimize the spreading of the pandemic. After the experience of work from home, employees are now divided into two categories. The first category is where employees want to continue work from home as they are enjoying it. And in the second category, employees prefer going to the office.

The portion of the employee’s group becomes a disaster while working from home, which directly affects the companies’ productivity. Though the ratio of disliking work from home is lesser, still, it is creating a huge impact on output, and indirectly, the economy is suffering. Due to a long period of remote work not only affect the company’s productivity and the country’s economy but also the reason for the issue in the mental health of the employee. And COVID-19 is also associated with loneliness, anxiety, depression, stress, etc.

These statistics are enough to know why work from home should be continued. 210 countries are under the grip of COVID-19, and where the number of cases is amplifying dramatically. To maintain distance from the pandemic, most of the employees prefer to work from home for their safety. And it is a wise decision as once the person gets infected, his/her immunity system becomes weaker and this might increase the chance of other diseases.

Keep It Positive

Yes, it is really difficult to work remotely for a long time but according to the situation working from home is an ethical preference. Take this circumstance positively. After the pandemic employer will emphasize hiring the employee that possesses remote work experience. Hence, amplify your professional valuation by working remotely for a long time.

Focus on the advantages of work from home such as :

  • Can work from anywhere
  • No community
  • No rush
  • Improve communication

Work from home should be continued as the best answer because there are various ways through which employees can handle their mental and physical wellness, and can achieve a highly productive rate by staying at home. And the only solution to avoid CoronaVirus is to stay away from crowded places and maintain distance from people.
